That means it’s a little more robust than our other products, so it’s probably not the most comfortable for sleeping.

What certification does Loop Switch have?

All Loop products have received a declaration of conformity (DoC) and comply with relevant PPE (personal protective equipment) legislation. They have been extensively tested by official authorities and are certified for use as hearing protection. Loop Switch is certified to the following standards:

  • US certification standard ANSI S3.19-1974 (ASA STD 1-1975)

What’s the difference between Switch and your other earplugs?

Loop Switch is our first “mechanical” earplug. This means you can switch between three levels of noise reduction.

"My spouse bought a pair of these to wear in his Ceramics studio, as well as during concerts & when commuting, to protect their ears from loud sounds and lower overwhelming crowd noise. I bought the McLaren pair shortly thereafter, because I am a car geek and they look hella slick, and I freakin' love them. The fact that they do not rely on power is rad, and they work very well on all 3 levels. I would recommend them to anyone who is sound-sensitive or just wants ear protection. "The McLaren model was set to the maximum sound reduction setting and managed the high-volume environment at my local shooting range, this weekend. No additional sound reduction headgear was necessary. I could still hear the rangemaster speaking at normal vocal volume, for that environment. These Loop hearing protectors are top-notch hearing gear."

"The headphones fit well and are not annoying when you are using them. The only thing that bothers me is that they are not marked which piece is for which ear. It would be good if they were marked. Maybe on the inside, which is not visible. They suppress noise well, but the change between settings is very small. It is more for adjusting the eq than for noise. At the lowest sound attenuation, it passes high frequencies well."

Helpful sound reduction

"These definitely work to cut the volume of sound. I've used them twice in most restaurants, one that had a live DJ. The cons are that my own voice and chewing are exceptionally loud, and that makes it a little difficult to hear when I'm eating. I have small ears and the XSM is still a tiny bit too big in one of my ears, which causes some discomfort if I wear them to frequently."

"These ear plugs work but the switch feature is not ideal. The most open sound setting is not open enough. I find my self un able to hear people trying to talk to me without knowing they are talking before hand. I constantly find myself saying "what?" over and over. The most protective sound mode seems to be not enough. Between all 3 modes there is not a substantial change to make it worth it. The quality of the case and ear plugs is good. Definitely overpaying for the brand vs cheaper knock off options."

"I work in a very noisy environnment and even if I had first purchase the Engage Loop 2, I've felt the need to reduce more noise around me. I wanted to able to hear conversations and answer the phone without being disturbed by tje buzzing sounds around me. At first, I thought it didn't work but it is when you pull off your loop that you realise all the noise around. They also help me focus at work as well. The switch edition is nice because you get 3 loop in one, it is very cool. I also purchased the McLaren edition because I'm a F1 fan. I'm really happy with them and have them in my bag for any occasion, even while parenting to stay calm during m'y child's meltdowns diagnosed with AuDHD."

Yes! It is an excellent product!

"I bought the loops mainly because I was afraid of not being able to take them off with simple earplugs. The loops give me security with the outer loop, that they will not go further in. I read the instructions carefully and applied them, choosing the most suitable size from the earplugs. They really give an excellent result and are mainly elegant in the workplace. They remain clean. For additional isolation, I place full-coverage external earplugs on top. There is no absolute isolation, but the result is very good and brings peace of mind in intense work environments. Congratulations!"
